Looking at a used SS Red Label. Anybody have any experience with one? I understand that the SS version is no longer available...anybody have any info as to why, etc...? Seems like it oughta be a swell waterfowl gun....
My Red Label isn't the stainless variety and it is an great shooter and a real pretty shotgun to boot. I personally think the SS version would be the perfect waterfowl gun or for that matter any other hunting as well. I don't have the money for a second Red Label right now so I waterfowl with an 870 Supermag and save the Red Label for skeet and upland birds.
I ran across a great deal on the ss red label couple weeks ago got the 12ga. that is all s/s nothing blued. and syn. stock and f/a seems to be kinda hard to find much about these. What is the going rate for these anyone know. Some might say i stole it but just was at the right place at the right time.
Yep exactly what I am looking 4, All Stainless. I dunno the last one I saw on gun broker went for 1300 used I believe.. It was an engraved model with the gold pheasant enlay on the sides and gold ruger emblem on the bottom. Beautiful gun!!! Now If I could just find one???
Well Toolmaster and myself have taken up sporting clay shooting and i've been trying to get use to the recoil i got a sims vibration slipon pad seems to help but not to keen on the slipon. Going to get one fitted to the gun this week and see how that helps. Then need to find better chokes. other then that i love the gun.
A red label o/u in 28 ga is my wifes favorite gun.
