I also really like the H+R 410 single shot I paid $125 for some years back.

Winchester 1200 12ga
Remington 870 Wingmaster 20ga

I really like both of them. Less than $200 each as I recall - been some time.

I won't count the 870 that was handed down to me from my Dad.

The cheapest I've bought that I really like is a Stoeger Uplander SxS. $350
Definitely not a collectible, but it's a great field gun. I like it more and more each time I shot it.

I have a 12ga pump High Standard "Riot" (20" barrel, cylinder choke) that I bought at an estate auction for $90. It was brand new and still has not been fired. With the short barrel, it makes an excellent deer gun or a good home defense gun.

A week or so back I won Gunbroker auction from an LGS for a Palmetto Arms Co. single shot 12ga (trade named Stevens Model 85) that set me back all of $20.05

It was rusty and crusty on the outside, but the mechanical's all worked, the bore was decent, and the wood was solid. Oil and steel wool took care of the rusty/crusty and it now has more of a rust blued look.

I bought several inexpensive shotguns as a poor young man in the 1980's. I remember buying an 8-shot Winchester Defender 12ga riot gun at Oshman's sporting goods in Tampa's University square mall. I recall getting a box of birdshot and two boxes of buckshot, ringing out at the register, and walking out of the mall toting my packages. Those were the days...
I had a Mossy 500 with an 18" and a 28" barrel that was my do-it-all shotgun before I got my Rem 870. All of those were good functioning, reliable pump guns. I have a couple of inexpensive side by sides too. One is a 12ga Stevens cut down to 18 1/4", and the other is a Spanish (Zaballa Hermanos) 20ga. They both work well.

Stevens 350 (Ithica 37 knockoff).
Shoots well, and being bottom eject is cool for my southpaw wife.
It's action was much smoother than the big green 870 Express models I handled, for half the price.

I received a Remington 11-48 for free, and I have dusted more clay with that thing than any other shotgun.

Baikal single shot 12 gauge. Liked it so much I bought the .410 Remington re-brand (Spartan) to carry as my armadillo defense.

Revelation Model 350A. 20 gauge single shot I bought sometime in the mid 60's. Brand new from Western Auto. I don't remember exactly what I paid. I'm thinking around $39. That was my only shotgun until last year when I bought a Mossberg 590A1.
