Beautiful Day for Shotgun Play

I am lucky to live ten minutes away from a sporting clays park. Friday a week ago it was freezing and heavy snow was forecast. By yesterday all the snow was gone, it was warm again, and the sun was shining. I took the opportunity to get outdoors for a few hours with a shotgun. I met a buddy and his son to shoot some clays. We are not students of the game, but rather hunters looking to sharpen our skills on all the diverse presentations the course offers. We each took our "do-everything" hunting pump-guns ( two 870Express, one Model 12). In all honesty, none of us was very good. I had told them up front that "I'm bad at this, but it's great fun", so I felt no pressure and just had fun. I think I'll go again before I change the shotgun over into Turkey hunting mode.
