I've always had a soft spot in my heart for old, rusty, abused shotguns. I enjoy fixing them up and shooting them. This Sportsman 48 in 16ga. was badly rusty. The Cutts Compensator looked as though it had been taken off with a pipe wrench
. The stock had some water damage also. I saved as much of the barrel as I could, had her parkerized, new sights and a major cleanup. Fun gun to shoot, most people like the way it turned out. Funny side note about recoil operated shotguns: don't put a folding rear sight on one, unless you use a set screw to make it non-folding.
