I've only owned one shotgun- a 1953 Stevens mdk 311a in 16 gauge. Bought it used at a little gunshop in Beartown,NY for $ 50 while I was in college in 1970. I ate peanut butter sandwiches or a month afterward

I would have to say my Ithaca Mdl 37's. One 12 Featherweight, the other a 6 digit 20 ga. from 1941 (hand me down). Both just shoot, never fail, been in the bottom of duck boats...frozen to the boat on several occasions and just keep on shooting'. After that, my Red Label blued 12 ga with choke tubes. Don't carry that in the marsh anymore.

Beretta 391 semi-auto. Possibly the most versatile gun made. Can be set up to shoot trap, skeet or sporting clays by changing barrels and stock position (with factory stock shims). A little heavy to carry all day in the field but extra weight and gas operation soak up recoil.
