SR-762 no sling

SR-762 no sling

I have a SR-762 with no front swivel for a sling.There is threaded hole in the gas block.What do you guys do?

I put a machined screw type of sling swivel that I got from the same gun shop that I bought the rifle from. Not sure of the pitch / diameter but its readily available. It screwed right into the end of the guard. Photo here:

The SR-556 was the same way, I bought a QD sling mount like the one below, but without the swivel option.

Front Sling Swivel

There are several after market forward sling mounts that attach to the upper rail ( I have mine just forward of the front sight). If you use the slot in the stock and the front upper rail mounted sling attachment the weight of the weapon balances out real nice. If you have any problems let me know and I will include a picture.
