I doubt it works well in sunlight cause its red and at that price, not red enough.

A fixed laser is, IMO, pretty useless on rifles. Looks good in the movies though.

I have one. It works ok in daylight. You can get it for a lot less at Grabagun than what Ruger wants and they ship a hell of a lot faster too.

it uses a mount that looks like another barrel band. check out rugers web site.

There is a small allen wrench included that you use to adjust the laser left or right. Look for the small hole with the arrow pointing to L or R.

I love the rifle. No nonsense and cheap and easy to shoot.

I just bought one this afternoon and mounted it on my 10-22 takedown. The unit mounts easily and I dialed it in so that the red dot is just a hair above the front sight at 25 yards. The Allen wrench that is supplied makes the windage and elevation adjustments a snap. Once mounted it looks like it's just part of the synthetic stock and is a very neat option. I can see several practical applications for this high quality laser.
