Mini 14 on trade

I am going to a trade today to get this:

ARMSLIST - For Sale: Ruger Mini-14 Tactical Folding Stock 5.56/223

Anything I should be looking for on the mini to double check, etc?

I have fired one a few times and handled a few, but am rather unfamiliar with the manual of arms, so any help would be very appreciated.

Hmm I think the cheeck rest that comes with that stock is missing. Not a huge deal but maybe ask about it. You can see where its been removed.

Why trade? You can buy a brand new one for that price!

Wants $225 for a $179 scope?

I agree with another poster why trade when you can buy a new one for about $75 more.

Very true for that price just get a new one. Unless hes willling to take something you want to get rid of. The picatinny rails are missing as well. There should be two on the sides and one on the bottom. There should also be one for the top but it doesnt come attached. It comes in the box for you to install if you want it.

This is the situation: had guns to get rid of, he wanted them. It worked out pretty fair I think.

The rails, cheek cover, etc were with the gun, just didn't have them installed.

I didn't want the scope, so I wasnt worried about it being over priced.

Thanks for everyone's input, really helped me crystalize the questions i needed to ask at the swap.
