Thumbs up 556 finally back from Ruger

Quite some time ago I posted about my new 556 not shooting worth crap. This was its seconds trip back to Ruger. This time they replaced the entire upper. Took it out this weekend and it shot like it was supposed to, dead on. My original upper left flakes of brass shavings in the receiver, had a terrible upper/lower fit and the gas key/piston was virtually impossible to get out. My new upper fits as tight as can be, no shavings what so ever in t/he receiver and the gas key/piston falls right out like it should. They even two day aired it both directions for me. Gotta love Rugers customer service.

I'm happy they got it straightened out for you. It's no secret Ruger has the best CS. It might take the a time or two but eventually they will get it right or replace the gun.

Therealmfngrinch is an unknown quantity at this point
I am sending mine back this week. Did not want to but brass flakes are bothering me also. The left rail leaves hand guards and attachments loose and I had buffer tube carrier tilt wear.PWS ENHANCED BUFFER TUBE fixed carrier tilt, but with other 2 probs I love and paid too much for it not to be perfect.it does however shoot fantastic and would recommend one if you are thinking about buying one. However it is in my opinion worth the extra money for sights, chrome and quad rail. Heavy yes but that gives less muzzle lift for faster aquisition.
