That little black rifle is sexy looking, but once you've you slept with an M1 or a M14 you know they are in for the long haul. I guess that why I have an attraction to the Mini 14.

You will love that rifle! I have a stainless 581-series ranch with a Leupold VX2 3-9x40 and a 582-series tactical (standard stock) with a Burris Fastfire II on a GG&G mount. They are just so much fun to shoot!

Mine have been completely reliable out of the box. Check CDNN and/or midway and others for Ruger OEM factory mags for $10-$12 less than what ruger charges for them.

If you are looking for a semi auto rifle that is dependable and easy to maintain, the Mini 14 is a good one. Thats not a knock on any other .223/5.56 rifle, plenty of good ones out there...just sayin...The Mini's are neat little rifles...
