I am just now replacing my riser and rings with Leupold's new IER mount.
Only downside other than the trigger is that I have been unable to buy spare parts from Ruger so far. Would like to have spare firing pin, cotter pins for the bolt/bolt carrier assembly, extractor/ejector, etc. Ruger is putting all their capacity into rifles, but they told me that spares should be available shortly from the website (right now you have to talk to an actual person in customer support).
My rifle like many does NOT like WOLF ammunition because of the steel case, but it extracts the new Hornady Steel Match just fine. WOLF ammo stays in the chamber and the ejector just rips off a piece of the base and I have to tap it out with a cleaning rod. I simply gave all of it away and don't buy any more.
I bought the only model they had at the time but there are some new models available now that are less expensive. $2,000 is a lot for a rifle, but there's nothing it needs except a new trigger; you won't spend a lot of money "upgrading" it. | I paid $1,350.00 for mine 2 years ago. The 1st. model. Love it ! The upfrontweight is appreciated when shooting and the trigger pull is just fine, better than most for a factory trigger. I ceranly wouldn't change it. You can learn any trigger!
