Does anyone make a muzzlebrake for the 581 series? The ones i find are for the older models.thank you

I would check out the Mo-Reaper. It is an awesome muzzle brake, and it adds a new front sight which is much better than the factory sight. I have one on my rifle and would highly recommend it! Check it out:

I have installed the Mo-Reaper and I can see it when using my red dot, but it is not distracting. Have not reinstalled my scope for a firing session yet, but i doubt it would be an issue. My Mini 14 is a series 580 Rancher and the Mo-Reaper fits perfectly. I did modify the installation somewhat.

After removing the old front sight, rather than follow directions and pound the new sight on, I used an emory cloth to smooth down the end of the barrel to the point where the Mo-Reaper could be slipped on without undue stress. Then I took a file and flattened the barrel on the bottom where to two allen screws screw into the bottom of the barrel. This allows the allen screws to grip the barrel much tighter to prevent the Mo-Reaper from sailing down range (don't ask how I know this). Instead of using the 1/8 inch rolled pin that comes with the Mo-Reaper to secure the top of the Mo-Reaper, I used a 7/64 rolled pin. Easier to install and remove if you need to temporarily remove the Mo-Reaper at some future point.
