New Mini-14 torque settings

New Mini-14 torque settings

Just bought a Mini-14 target rifle with the laminated stock. What I need to find out is what should the ring to "base" torque setting be in in/lbs. Also the torque setting for the ring halves. Plus I've got some big screwdrivers but nothing like the slot in the base screw, anyone got an idea of what this slot size is and what flat will fit it? Appreciate any information!!! HOLESHOT308

I just checked my Mini shop notes; no info on scope rings but....

the gas block should be torqued at 24 to 36 INCH/pounds. It's an 8-36 screw pitch.

Therefore the setting on the scope should be close. The Ruger scope mount rings used on my Ranch Mini look like #8 screws.

The smaller screws used on the ring half would have a lighter setting.
