Ruger AR 556 Price?

I read Ruger ran production hot prior to the election assuming Hillary would win and there would be additional firearm regulations. Now supply outstrips demand. What is the going Price $500? $600?

I have seen them going for $500 recently from a number of vendors. The cheapest I recall seeing (since the election) was $469 IIRC. I would say that prices have dropped about $100 since before the election.

I saw one at Rural King about a month ago for $450 on sale. I think the pretty standard going rate is about $500.

I just picked one up last week for 479.00. I have seen it as low as 464.00. Some good deals online right now if you look around

I think most stores are doing rebates for the rifle. Hence the <$500 price tag. Those prices won't last forever.

Right now DPMS is selling a $450 AR. Thats was an online price, so there are going to be other fees, but the AR craze, for now.....is chilling out. Time to stock pile, lol.

No, it isn't rebates... Online dealers are selling them at less than $500. With no talks of bans or restrictions, plus the glut of ARs on the market, those prices are probably going to be around awhile.

The AR market is horrible right now, I was at Cabelas this weekend and they had at least 5 used Ruger AR556's & Bushmaster XM15-e2s's not the cheap QRC for around $450-500! Yes I know they were used, but Cabelas usually has way over inflated prices on their new & used firearms. I was speaking to one of the managers in the gun library and he said they have so many used AR's, that they only buy them if they can get them for around $350.
Until we have a president that everyone thinks will possible take our guns away, (lets hope that doesn't happen) these prices are here for a while. Good for people buying, not so good for sellers!

Not sure where you are shopping, but these are real prices today... not rebates. Slickguns lists several more shops in the same price range.

The world is an interesting place. Back in 2012, basic AR's were usually over $1,000.
