Mini 14 Factory Mag Problems

So I went and spent the big money on 30 rnd FACTORY mags because they were supposed to be the most trouble free.

Here's the problem - two of them I can't even load up without binding up the whole thing. I can get about 15 rounds in before the whole stack jams in the mag. I have to beat on the bottom of the mag to get the rounds out.

I have several other mags that I loaded up no problem with the same ammo. Are these mags out of spec? I pulled the base plates off and inspected the spring and follower...everything seems to be in order. Maybe I just need to shoot with them (with the limited capacity) and they'll loosen up? Any one had this problem or have advice?

Sounds like they need to take a trip back to the factory. Just on the off chance... Are the springs all the same length?

I have not had a 30 rounder in my hands but my guess is they are all going to be rough when they are new. My 20 rounders were. I just loaded them and unloaded them until the springs could seat themselves on the inside of the magazine. It may take a few reloads but it can be done. I've never seen new magazines of any type or variety that did not take some tweaking to get them to work right including military issue M-16/M4's. Mostly it's loading them and unloading them, either by hand or in the rifle until they become smooth. Some work right away and some take some TLC. Now, poorly made magazines are a different issue. Patience is a virtue. kwg
