Help w/ Measurement on Mini 14 Ranch

Hi,

I own an older Browning pistol that I want to mount a scope onto without drilling & tapping. I have seen mounts for the Mini 14 Ranch that use set screws to clamp a weaver style rail onto the rifle. And I am hoping that someone would be nice enough to measure the rail on the Mini 14 Ranch where the scope mounts and let know what the width is. (The width of where the sets screws would sit.)

Thanks in advance.

Paul

Hey Paul, not sure which browning your trying to mount a scope on but if it's a Hi-power,there used to be a grip panel that had a riser mount built in to it. Don't remember who made it but i'm sure someone here does or you could find it on the net.

It's an International Medalist. I've seen mounts for $75 and up but am trying to find a "less expensive" way to go.

Thanks.

The Mini-14 mount in the photo is a Wichita and is .865" wide. The mounting screws use the rear peep sight holes. This mount could be machined down much smaller if needed.

Iowegan -

Thank you. I appreciate it very much.

Unfortunately for me my Browning has a rib or rail that is only 9mm wide.

Thanks again.
