Thanks for the info. I really like the looks and function of the Viper handguard. Had read in another forum that some folks had a problem installing the Viper handguard, I have a feeling they we talking about the installation on the SR-556. thanks again

I'd go slowly shoot it as is for awhile then if you need changes go for it. I think some of the things added to one just complicate the matter. My opinion, not to take away from others. I like a nice handy, sort of light, rifle.

There was an LE SS All Weather RR that the only difference was it had a flash hider on it. That could be swapped out for any other AR muzzle device for more versatility.

How many use the buffer in the lower receiver? It's supposed to take up slack & eliminate loosness between the upper & lower? Does it really help?
