This is now a completely different rifle. Just changing out the buffer and compensator changed everything.

The recoil is now just slightly more than a standard 5.56 NATO. It has some kick but nothing compared to what it was. I accomplished this by changing the stock buffer and spring to the JP Silent Capture Spring and I used the Red/Yellow spring from the kit. Here is the link to the JP SCS kit JP Rifles. The compensator is the JPTRE-5.58B.750 and here is the link JP Rifles.

Also I HIGHLY suggest the Hiperfire Hipertouch 24E. While at the range an old Army Marksmanship Unit shooter and friend of mine wanted to see what all the hype was about. He was damn near speechless after three rounds. He laughed at me and simply said "order me one". Here is the link HIPERTOUCH 24E - Elite AR15/10 Fire-Control Drop-In.

If you are Mil/LEO there are some great deals on this trigger out there. I paid less the $200 for mine.

This rifle is some much fun to shoot and has taken its place as my SHTF rifle, and now sits loaded and ready right next to my go bag.

Great info! Thanks for sharing, i am on the verge of changing from Vortex to this compensator, I already have Giselle trigger and this new one looks nice!

Another note...How does someone change out dust cover to personalize it??? Its different removal than reg std AR pin and c clip!!

Nice looking sr,but I would like to know if your groups have changed since you changed compensators?Did you do any accuracy testing with the stock unit and then after?Sometimes it changes accuracy after the swap.

Why I bought Ruger SR-762 over a Sig 716

Lastblack80- Did you replace the buffer tube when you put in the JPSCS? I am thinking about installing a Magpul PRS Stock, but will have to install a full length AR buffer tube (mil-spec). Not sure if I want to go that far.

That is one great looking rifle! Still in the AR phase and it shows no sign of slowing down but will get to 7.62 soon enough!

The JPSCS comes with a spacer. You might have to cut the spacer depending on the buffer tube you install it in.

I believe The PRS requires a full length buffer tube. If you do go that route, you will not have to modify the spacer at all.

To answer the other questions-

Yes everything is still working perfectly. I love this rifle. Accuracy was not test with OEM parts so I don't know if it got better or worse. I do know that for a 16" barrel I couldnt be happier with the accuracy I have now.

What are you running for hunting ammo? I will be sighting in some Hornady Superformance GMX 165s on Wednesday. Looking for a combo elk/deer round.

Remington Core-Lokt .308 Win 180 gr SP and 150 gr PSP and Federal Gold Metal Match 168 gr, and Freedom New 155 gr A-Max and 168 gr HPBT Match. I also shoot brazilian HPBT 168 gr does the job too.....others to try soon also!

FYI- I have excellent results with .270 Remington Core-lokt 130 and 150 gr that worked great...been hunting with Remington on .270 BDL 700 for years...

Now there are some things I'd like to change about my rifle.

The first thing to go was the trigger. I swapped it out for a Hiperfire 24E. I absolutely love hiperfire triggers. The best pull and break I have found on a single stage trigger, and I have tried a bunch.

I also changed out the stock. I put on a VLTOR IMOD. I have one on every one of my ARs. They just feel "right" to me.

The next thing I changed was the flash suppressor/compensator. I replaced it with a Troy Medevil flash suppressor. I'm thinking about changing it again, maybe a JP compensator to reduce recoil a little. Which leads into my next change.

The fealt recoil isn't bad but could be better. I'm thinking about trying a JP Silent Capture Spring. Has anyone use one of these? Maybe have a better suggestion?

Pictures will be added later, I'm traveling right now and plan on take some as soon as I get home.
Hey. Everyone just wanted to know if the HIPERTOUCH 24C Will fit in my Ruger SR 762

oldag will become famous soon enough
Easy thing to do would be to verify with the manufacturer.

I cannot answer the question.
