Works well on the .308. Would estimate muzzle flip reduced by about 2/3.
the Aries armor is adjustable and it can actually eliminate 100 of muzzle flip if you adjust it that way....you can actually adjust it so much that it will actually push the rifle down if you go overboard with the adjustments

A few more weeks huh? That sucks.....I'm not sure why it should take that long....In any event it "feels" like there are less and less issues being reported here on the SR762, which is great to see....

Now I can focus on my next purchase which is a Beretta Silver Pigeon III....I've always wanted an O/U shotgun and like to shoot skeet....maybe a bit of hunting....

Just dropped mine off at the LGS today. Took it out last week for the first time, had a number of cycling issues. Seemed like it was short stroking. I had installed an UBR stock and different buffer and spring, thought that might be the issue, or the ammo I was using. Today I took different ammo and the factory stock to the range with me. Same problems even after swapping back the factory stock and internals. Guess I'm playing the waiting game too. Any of you guys have an issue with the forward assist? The times the bolt failed to go completely into battery, I tried using the forward assist to no avail.

No problem with the assist. Is your rifle an early production one?

I had the same issues with my forward assist, it was noted in my letter to Ruger when I sent the rifle in.

Not sure how to tell. Would it be in the serial number?

Yes. Just post your S/N but substitute "XX" for the last two digits.

That is a later number production model but obviously not late enough to say you're probably safe.....I purchased an SR762 that has a x7xxx serial number and has been fine and I think most of the x6xxx and above's have been fine.....Hopefully you'll receive a much better gun back than you sent in....

I received mine back today, they replaced the entire upper, I can tell a huge difference by hand cycling, also the bolt catch is now working and I stopped a couple of rounds from seating and tried the forward assist, seems to be working right.
They sent 3 Gen 3 mags back with it, mine originally came with the Gen 2 mags. I also tried the DPMS mags, they definitely seat a lot easier with this upper than they did with the other, don't have to slap them to get them to seat like I did before.
Hopefully I will get to run some through it tomorrow and see how it does. At this point I feel very optimistic.

Glad to hear it. You'll be happy with the gen 3 mags. Let us know the range results.
