For my 2 cents - I have a Mini 14-223 Target rifle AND a Mini 30-7.62x39 and they look exactly the same. I can switch stocks with them and everything will fit just perfect except the M30 magazine will not work in the M14 stock because its slightly wider (about .04 in). The M14 magazine will function fine in the M30 stock. SO my answer is that the M14 will swap over and function just fine in the M30 stocks the M30 will swap over but the magazine will not function in a M14 stock without widening some of the stock for the magazine. Hope that helps

And for the wooden Mini 30 is #MS00402.

Therefore I suspect these are manufactured to different tolerances.

And so the answer is probably not.

I don't have one of each however, so I cannot tell you for certain.

Yes and no. They are identical in every way except for a slightly difference in the mag well and they use a different stock reinforcement (magwell liner) that unscrews with the 2 screws on the sides of the stock.

The Mini-30's mag well is a tiny bit wider in the rear due to the shape of the 7.62x39 rd and therefore, the magazine. This means that you need to buy a Mini-30 stock reinforcement and then file a tiny bit of the magwell cutout in the stock so that the reinforcement will fit in. Simple to do with a flat file on each side of the cutout in the stock as the difference is slight.
