My Son shot my SR22 and you can guess the result. Now I paid $470.00 Scalper price for mine when they were very hard to find and now I see Gander Mountain selling them for $400 plus background plus tax. About right or still a bit of a rip? Thanks!

I wouldn't pay that. I got mine about a month ago for $299+tax at a gun show. Just went to a gun show this past week end and notice the same dealer I bought mine off of is now asking $319 for the SR22. This is my experience with buying guns, brick stores ask suggested retail which for this gun is $399. This is my option, I will not pay retail for a gun. Good luck with whatever u decide.

Higher than they were just a few months ago and a whole lot higher than they were last year at this same time. January of this year I paid $324 plus shipping and transfer fee so almost $380. With the gun control bill failing today prices and supplies of firearms may stabilize sooner than later. If you want it now go for it..... Just don't check prices in the future or you may not like what you find. LOL.

Terry, I don't know where "Northwoods" is (I know there's a Northwoods in Missouri but I'm not sure if that's what you mean).

Here in Wisconsin, we call anything north of Highway 29 out of Green Bay "The Northwoods" so if you're in Wisconsin or anywhere else in the upper midwest actually, check out Scheels http://www.scheels.com . I got both of mine there one last January and one last month for $319+tax+checks.

Thanks for the heads up, Kermit. I'm heading that way this weekend. I'll stop by. There site doesn't list guns for some reason?

I paid 350+tax, so $370 total last weekend at a gun show. Thought it was a decent price and I've been wanting one so I went for it. Another vendor had the same gun with a light on it (got the same light on my 9c already) for $500! I chuckled and was glad I had already bought mine a few minutes ago.

Yeah, but guys, if you are like me ... I'm so happy with my SR22 pistol ... it's one of my favorite pistols (at any price).

My advice? Buy one at the best price you can find, and never look back ... well, ok, look back and see if they have any dang 22lr ammo ... but other than that, no buyer's remorse ... none.

I can't say that about all my purchases.

350 out the door, cash last july 2012 from LGS.

I wish I waited, I would have liked the threaded barrel version.

Bought mine October of last year at a gun show brand new for $307 OTD.

$429 and then taxes for the threaded barrel version; bought through Gander. MSRP is $439.

When I ordered mine, Gander only had 9 nationally and they sold out within 48 hours or so. I just got lucky and saw it online and ordered it for delivery to my local Gander. At the time when I bought mine in March 2013, prices on GunBroker were pretty much asking MSRP for the threaded barrel version and then would would have to add shipping and FFL fees -- that was "included" in my Gander purchase.

I knew I wanted this Ruger and didn't want to wait around for a "deal" so, as they say, I pulled the trigger.

Mine set me back $349.00 plus tax from my LGS about a month ago.
