| How many 22/45 Lite Golds were produced
just picked up a new Lite in Gold today and am wondering if these will eventually be sought after more so now that Ruger quit making these in this color. Have searched the net without any luck on production numbers of this model.

I picked one up myself a couple weeks ago. All i know is that they only made them for the 2012 models.

I would suggest quite a few.
Couldn't ever see them being collectables though.

Was wondering this myself. Im going to buy a gold Lite tomorrow for $500 :/ The local shop called me yesterday sayin hey had a new black lite in for $420 and said the gold was no longer being made. I like the gold more anyway and its that much harder to find now saw some on gun broker for as much as $700 with "rare" in the listing.

^ Rare in a gunbroker ad means very little.

If they sell well Ruger will continue to make them.
Should be a great trail or hunting .22. Lightweight with good sights makes for a practical combo.

Still haven't found an answer. Called Ruger and asked, they can't even give me an answer. As stated above the Gold version is going for quite a bit more on Gunbroker than the new blue ones. Now seeing less and less of them on there as well. I still haven't shot mine, kinda waiting to see and may just store it to give my 1 year old when he's 18. I read somewhere a guy that had inside info stated they scrapped 40% of the ones made due to not able to get the color uniform and that was one reason why they were switched to all blue. Not sure if any truth to it.

Might want to try Gunsmithing in Southport, CT. Picked up a 22/45 Lite for a good price a few weeks ago. Nice folks too.

| $80. more
the gold is ok--i own one-- but i would save $80. and buy the black!! so many people who did not like the gold and wanted black, so now the black is here and everyone is looking for the gold. i think the all black is very plain but i like the barrel flutes better.

I'd rather have the black one too. I liked the idea of the light weight of the gold one but to have it in black appeals to me.
Now I understand why they stopped making the gold one.
