Thanks for posting this information. I just went on the Tandemkross site to order the bushing and they are offering a bundle with their gunsmith tool that assists with the disassembly of the Mark III. I think I will also order their black LCI replacement and put that in my Mark III Target. I have noticed some FTF from certain ammo, which might be the ammo but could also be the LCI.

CephasG, I just received notification that it will be delivered Thursday. They are fast and I was e-mailing back and forth with one of their reps on Sunday. What awesome customer service.

By the way E. Arthur Brown Company is selling the Accurizing Kit for $91, so I ordered that also. I was talking to the rep from Tandemkross about my nervousness doing both installs myself. She said to give them a call if I run into problems. Wow, it isn't even their product. Did I say what great customer service???

Installed the Tandenkross and it went really smooth. Like the polish on the bushing and with the instructions and of course the videos, things went well. I'm a happy MKlll 22/45 Lite owner.

I did both the bushing and the Accurizing Kit at the same time. I installed the LCI blank and just did the Volquartsen Bolt Tune Up Kit. I had a hard time getting the ejector out until I got some picks from my dentist. I think they throw them away anyway, so they are a good source of free high quality picks.

Now my Mark III Target is running smooth. Took it apart yesterday and gave it a great cleaning. Came apart and assembled again smoothly.

I ordered the Tandemkross bushing right after I ordered the VQ Accurizing Kit for my Mark III Target. Having the bushing made the VQ installation so much easier (not easy mind you, but easier) because I didn't have to fool with all the parts associated with the Mag "safety."

I just did the VQ bolt tune up, but couldn't get the ejector out until I got some picks from my dentist. Happened to be there and asked them what they did with them. He said they throw them away, but a lot a people ask for them for their gun work. So I got a set of really nice picks and was able to replace the ejector last night.

The gun was great to begin with and now it is running smooth. Oh and I removed the LCI and used the black Tandemkross LCI blank to replace it.

Their customer service is outstanding. I was e-mailing back and forth with a rep before I did the hammer bushing and VQ Accurizing Kit. She said if I had problems installing the kit give them a call and they would help. It's not even their product and they were willing to assist. That alone created a very loyal customer. Plus they make quality stuff.

I'm new here but reading this thread I'm sure you guys know the answer to my question.
I ordered 3 Volquartsen accurizing kits. 2 for 2 friends withMk11's and one for my my new Mk 111...
After reading every thing I could find I ordered a mk11 kit for my mk111 comp because I want to eliminate the mag disconnect feature. Did I do the right thing or should I have ordered a mk111 kit and a mk11 hammer bushing?

From the VQ kit descriptions;
MKII Kit also includes a Volquartsen MKII Hammer Bushing and can be used when eliminating the magazine disconnect feature in the Ruger MKIII. Please note the only way we recommend to remove the magazine disconnect in the Ruger MKIII is by using the MKII Kit that includes the MKII Hammer Bushing.
MKIII Accurizing Kit used in conjunction with any other aftermarket hammer bushing (advertised to eliminate the magazine disconnect) may cause malfunctions

I have the kit in hand and am itching to install it but thought I might break in the new slabside with a few hundred rounds before I attempt the upgrade

Any info appreciated and if I should have posted the questions elsewhere please excuse my first pst here on the Ruger Forum. Looking forward to bein schooled in these sweet little little rim fire jewels.

The VQ MKII hammer bushing is designed to work with the flat MKII hammer. Install the whole kit and test it with your MKIII hammer.If it doesn't work properly order a Tandemkross hammer bushing or the VQ MKII hammer. VQ does not make a bushing that is compatible with the MKIII hammer while eliminating the Mag safety. In the past some have placed a small washer over the VQ bushing in the indented area of their hammer to take up the space on their hammer. This would give an option three, likely the cheapest also seeing as you have that bushing in hand.
NOTE: Some of the VQ MKII kits come with the proper hammer, if yours did swap it out...All will be good.

E Aurthur Brown Co has this on their site;

uger Mk III Owners: If you want to eliminate the Mk III magazine disconnect, the Mk II bushing and target hammer in this kit will allow you to remove your Mk III magazine disconnect lever and spring. Order this kit to convert the Mk III.

So I keep the MK 3 hammer or what?

Sorry I'm still a bit confused

OK, I'm a happy camper.
Installed the complete Volguartsen Mk2 accurizing Kit in my mk3 competition.
I put the Mk2 hammer in instead of trying the MK 2 hammer bushing in my Mk3 hammer because at that point I was a bit worried about getting it all back together. It was very tight after running only 200 rds thru the new gun prior to disassembly and upgrade install.
I am very pleased with the results and love the trigger pull.
My shooting buddys with mk2 target models , one a stainless 10" barrel also love theirs .
In the end I suppose I have a Volquartsen modified MK 2 with a loaded chamber indicator. So far I'm really liking it and appreciate the suggestions offered here
Thanks
