After 500 rounds of O-ring usage. The ring is pretty much flat and every so often when reloading a new mag I have to bump the slide forward by hand because of the o-ring but afterwards it fires without issue going the whole mag without FTFs or FTEs.

Tiberruger If I remember correctly you used a 5/16" o ring . If I'm right try a 3/8" x1/4" id x 1/16" thick one. Thats what I'm using. I've run about 1000 rds thru mine with no problems and very little wear on the o ring.

That will be my next purchase next week. Similar to the Walther but not picky about ammo.

I have two SR's I have a 3/8" od x 1/4" in x 1/16" thick o ring over the recoil spring on one of mine. You can feel it buffering the slide aganist the take down lever when you rack the slide by hand. It's kind of like the SR version of Kidd's bolt buffer for the 10/22's. Someone just posted tonight an after market take lever for $19.95 that's supposed to be a lot better the the one Ruger is making. There's alot more about the o ring on rimfire centeral. Look under other guns Ruger I think and look for SR take down lever failures.
