Wife's first trip to the Range
I took my wife to the range today to try out our new SR22. We've had it for a couple of months and, while I've enjoyed shooting it several times, she hasn't found the time to go with me. She was a little nervous as well as she had never shot a handgun before. We went over the gun last night as a preview so she would be familiar with it before we introduced ammunition into the equation. After a few trials, she was able to get a good handle on it and turned out some pretty good targets after her third magazine. I am very proud of her and look forward to getting her out to shoot some more. first shots for Mamma - Ruger Forum

Good for her! I have a 4" SP101 for first time shooters...I want them to enjoy their first trip to the range and the .22lr caliber seems to fit that bill quite well!

My wife, before we even got married, asked me to help her select a pistol so that she could join me in my hobby when we got married! She ended up selecting a Beretta Cheetah in .380acp...and has since moved on to a Gen II Glock 19 in 9mm...which she absolutely LOVES!

One step at a time...
