VQ Extractor - Wear Mark

I just installed a VQ Exact Edge Extractor in my Mark III, and after just 10 rounds, I noticed this wear mark on the outer edge of the extractor cutout in the barrel. Anything to be concerned about?

Hmmmm...Ok, so I guess nobody here even owns a Mark III that they could take quickly glance at to see if it shows similar signs of wear?

Hi Capains 1911
I just took one of my MKIII's out and checked it. it has the same bevel edge just not as polished looking as yours but it's there and thats with a stock Ruger extrator. This Mark has about 2000 rds thru it.

I also have the same mark on mine. The VQ extractor is harder than the factory stamped one, which for me, started waring out and stovepiping after about 500 rounds. The VQ works much better, but I'm going to take mine out and hit it with 1500 grit sandcloth on the edge that contacts the chamber, just to lessen any problems with it.

Normal with an extractor change.

This one even has a chip-out in the extractor groove area. Again no big deal as long as extraction and insertion are smooth.
