Whoo Hoo !!!!!

Got the call today and my LGS got a 22/45 Lite in....

Price was high at $395 but they are in a 3.5% tax zone which helped.

I also purchased:

Kleen bore .22 Cleaning Kit $19.95
Can of Gun Scrubber $13.95
100 rounds of CCI Mini-Mags $10.95
and some targets $1.95

Out the Door it was $472.77

What I got for free was range time for shooting off the 100 rounds and another free trip to the range from the sales-guy Kyle. Each of those are $20 since I'm not a member yet. So saving $40 with range time brought the price of the gun in my eyes down to $355. I am happy with that...

Was real happy with the Kyle from Shore Shot in Lakewood NJ. He was the son of another employee there and handles their FB page as well. I spoke with him over the phone 2 weeks prior about putting my name on a list and then getting a call from him showed me that they actually care about their clients, past and future.

Not 1 single failure with the CCI Mini-Mags...
Gun was flawless till the last 10 rounds.....

After inserting the last mag I picked up the gun to sight in the target and saw my front sight turned sideways... The screw had backed out but not completely. I brought the gun back to the sales guy at the counter and he tightened it up for me. So problem averted I guess for now.

My only 1 complaint about the gun is the mag release. It barely came out of the gun when the release is pressed then it was tight as all hell removing it. It felt like it was jammed in there but after some coercing it came out. It did this with both mags the whole time.
Will this loosen up a little after I run more ammo thru the gun?

Be carefull with the gun scrubber. I remember a previous thread where gun scrubber damaged the finish on a 22/45 lite.

Congrats on your purchase! I just got mine as well and have only fed her Federal 550 bulk, which she seems to like. About 350 rounds with no issues. Mine too was really tight and hard to manipulate as well as the safety & bolt release buttons. I took it a part once to clean from factory with no real change. The bolt release seems like it got a bit smoother, but the safety and mag are about the same. I too am hoping over time they will get a bit better, but right now am happy that it functions well and shoots nice! I know there is a bunch of info about modifying the magazine release safety/disconnect which will let it fall right out, but I'm not ready to tackle that one so soon. At best mine drops about 1/4"-3/8" then grab and pull, sometimes a fingernail on the front is necessary.

Maybe it will get better when it's broken in more. I am also not quite sure why when the bolt is held open on last shot and a new full mag is loaded you can't grab and slingshot the bolt to closed position. I have to use the bolt release button. I am not used to that, usually I just grab it and give 'er a yank.

First time disassembling and reassembling... took 15-20 min. Hardest part was actually tapping the barrel with a mallet to get it off and back on... The mainspring was a lil tough but it wasn't bad at all

My 1 question is this. Where do I put oil on the gun... The instructions say wipe everything with a lightly oiled patch. What actually needs to be oiled?

Thank you

+1 just use the cleaning oil stuff in your cleaning kit, save the gun scrubber for dirty old rifle barrels or something.

exactly what the instructions said light coat of oil is all you need, make sure you have a light coat on the slide thats what moves.
