I love the feel of the SR22. However, I have sent mine back 2 times for fail to feed/fail to fire. Monday it will go back for fail to eject. I read the post above that said it could operator error, but what can cause all these problems? Both times I had an RSO stading with me, yesterday an RSO who is a gunsmith there the whole time. What in the world could I be diong. Tried 2 kinds of Federal, a Winchester and a Remington. They work fine in my old MK II. I get the gun back and they say they put 40 rounds of Federal through it, I get problems within the first few rounds.

Good luck. | I just had a problem with my new Ruger Mark III. The Mainspring Housing doesn't hardly fit at all into the grip frame. The issue wasn't obvious until I went to field-strip it. It is something I feel definitely should have been caught by the person who assembled the gun at the factory.
I realize that any gun can have an issue but I believe more and more issues are happening (and not just Ruger) because of too much emphasis on throughput to meet a quota rather than quality. My gun was sent back just last Wednesday.
I hope you get your gun back the way it should have been when purchased. I just worry if they are cutting corners on the assembly, they may very well cut corners on the followup service too. Let's hope Ruger pulls it together.

I have had zero problems with my SR22 working, only issue was that the recoil spring would not snap on to the guide rod.
So I ordered a stainless steel guide rod from Bedair Machine Works for the SR22 and now he guide rod snaps right it place. Still functions 100% and looks even better with the stainless guide rod.

I've got two SR22's both have around 2500 rds thru them and have had no problems at all with either one. They both shoot what ever I load. Mostly Federal bulk Walmart.

| New SR22 Pistol Owner is now Satisfied/Elated Update
New SR22 Pistol exchanged for the new one I had that was defective as described in the first thread. Picked it up Saturday September 1, 2012 at the Indoor Range FFL dealer. Checked it out and all was in order. It would dry fire with an empty magazine both double and single action. Both magazines loaded up without any problems. I went into the range and put 100 rounds of Remington High Velocity and 50 rounds of Federal (both very old ammo). All fired without any problems.
Sunday and Monday went plinking and put approximately 75 more rounds through it without any problems. Everybody loved shooting it.
To date I am very pleased with this SR22 Pistol as well as the service received in getting it replaced. The quality of this new pistol seems to be of a higher quality than the other one.
The grip was also a snap to change out.
By the way the gun has a Lifetime Warranty from the Dealer.
I would recommend the Ruger SR22 Pistol to anyone looking for this type of pistol.

Went to the range yesterday and had some FTL and FTF issues with the SR22P
First time out shot Remington gold bulk shot flawless.
Dis-assembled for a through cleaning.
Yesterday, to the range,
Shot Federal 36g Copper HP I had many FTL, & FTF Issues.
I cleaned the feed ramp, did not help with FTL.
I did not lube firearm while at range
Then I switched to Blazer RN 40g, Shot Flawless.
My SR22P did NOT like the Federal HP ammo.

As for disassembly, that was a breeze even w/o the instructions. I hope your problem's are resolved soon because the SR22 has been a lot of fun to shoot for me and the folk's I've let shoot mine. | same thing here, loving the STINGERS TOO!

Just picked mine up yesterday. I checked everything out the minute I got home. EVERYTHING....so far....seems AOK. None of the above problems, although that grip exchange is a real SOB!
Have range time on the schedule for Tuesday

I have had no issues with my SR22. 550 rounds still going strong. Fired Winchester, CCI minimags and Velocitors, and Federal Champions without any hiccups! Gotta love it!
