Well the old story is answered again. A day late and a dollar short. Went to the sale on Saturday and guess what. Sold out. Dont figure. I guess I have more time to ponder. I will admit I was leaning toward the lite. Christmas is just a few months away. I could also change the grips to something to complement the barrel rather than just plain black. Thanks for the help in this decision.

Update to an old thread. Their is a Santa Clause. Went into a small gun store
I had not been to for a long time. On line said sold out. Who isn't. But what do
My eyes discover, a SR22pi laying in the display case. Now the great surprise. The price tag shows $299.00 plus check and tax. Put it on layaway and will pick up this
Weekend. Will be going back to this shop. He has not raised his prices on guns
Or ammo. He has restricted the quantity of ammo you can buy so he can
Spread out what he has remaining. I am impressed. Chomping at the bit
To go back and complete the transaction...

great price!!

i have both, and both are fun to shoot but i think i like the LITEs feel in my hand a little better. both get a lot of range time.

Agreed on the feel. I picked one up and held it at the local shop and was back in two days with cash in hand.
Love the Lite. It is picky on what you feed it, but it's a 22, even good ammo is relatively cheap.
Really fun to shoot and much more accurate than I am.

Congrats, you won't regret it. I love mine!
Some minor advice you may know, check that the recoil spring is attached to the rod & keep an eye on the barrel screw after an initial tightness check, though I believe they have corrected this at the factory.

Ruger LITE is a great bit of kit, maybe not a Target pistol but fun and reliable.

Had a blast. Shot 100 rounds of CCI AR 15 rim fire ammo. Had one fail to load. With 22 ammo? Don't figure. No FTE or FTF. A great fun time. A good cleaning and a whole lot of fun at the range. What a great day. Very happy with the new SR 22p.
