My Sp101-22 finally arrived today, had it ordered since April, it is a joy to hold and look at. Hope to get it to the range tomorrow or Friday, it should be a great companion for the SR22p.

Congratulations, enjoy.
I looked at one also (and have shot, our club has two as club guns), the grip frame was way too small for my hands.

I take mine with me almost every time. Thousands of rounds of fun. Fast, slow, single action, double action. 8 rounds at a time, over and over and over again. I can't stop till the ammo is gone. LOL.
Enjoy!

Congratulations, make sure you report back with a range report, I've been thinking about getting a Sp101 22lr for target practice

I get all warm and tingly and excited when ever anyone mentions the sp101 .22lr.
Mine is one of my favorite possessions. Let us know how it shoots.

Congrats, Ruger has a winner with this one.
For those looking you might give these people a call.

I got mine about a month ago. I didn't know they were hard to come by. I wasn't looking or even thinking about getting one. I went to a local shop that was having Ruger Days and there it was. I checked it out and it managed to follow me home. I think they had several of them?????.
I really like mine. The only problem I had was the rear sight cross pin walking out after 100 rounds or so. It's a pretty common problem Ruger is aware of. I suggest if you have that problem slightly bend the end of the pin instead of using Loctite. The Loctite caused a problem with the rear sight.

Took SP101-22 to range today, put 72 rounds of Federal bulk ammo threw it without any problems. It was shooting 3 inch groups single action and 7 inch double action at 7 yards, not as good as with single six, it will do 1 inch or less. I think it will do a lot better with a little break in and when i get used to the trigger, but so far i am completely happy with it in every way.

I used this site Ruger SP-101 Trigger Job Guide as a guide to polish up the internals and it worked like a champ. Trigger is much smoother than stock.
