Price for Mark 2 stainless 6 in. tapered bbl.

I have a chance to purchase a Mark 2 stainless 6 in. tapered bbl. fixed sight pistol from a coworker. I have always liked the looks of the Mark 1/2/3stainless with the 6 in. tapered bbl. He says it is unfired, (and it appears to be as such, at least to me). It has the original box, and two mags., but is missing the manual and the small brass lock that Rugers of this era came with (it dates to the early nineties, according to the serial number). Asking price is $300. Is this a fair deal?

I don't know about the MKII's .But a month ago I purchased a SS MKIII target for $439 + tx and $499.+tx for a MKIII SS Hunter. Both bought new at a local gun store. I'm sure someone will give you a better answer as to the MKII prices. It doesn't sound bad to me and the SS MK's are pretty for sure.

The Mark II is an excellent pistol. $300 is a great deal for a stainless one in mint condition. Take the money with you tomorrow and pay him before he changes his mind.

I agree. $300 is a great price. If I were interested in one, I'd buy it.

I'd buy it for $300, absolutely. Been a run on Mark IIs, of late, since a lot of folks don't like the lawyer proofing done on the Mark IIIs to make them legal to sell in California.
