I was sighting my SR22 in last week-end and tried to move my grouping to the left. Following the instruction manual, I turned the windage screw counterclockwise. Group kept moving right till the windage screw almost fell out.

Long story short, the windage adjustment on Page 29 is reversed (at least in the instruction manual version AX 11/11 C that I got 2 weeks ago).

Checking my manual...same #AX 11/11 C:

Quote:
To move the group to the left, turn the
windage screw clockwise using a slotted
screwdriver. To move the group right,
turn the windage screw counterclockwise.
(See Figure 24.)
Since I can never remember which way the elevation and windage adjustments turn for the several different firearms I take to the range, I printed and keep a small laminate card in my range bag with the different manufacturers.

FYI: My manual is AX 4/12 C. I emailed Ruger as the text did not match the picture. The response was that the picture was incorrect and Ruger was aware of the situation and was working to correct the matter.

Man am I glad I am not the only one. I absolutely cannot remember which way to turn those darn adjustment screws. Getting old sucks.
I have a laminated card with everything printed out that stays in my range bag.

Move the rear sight the direction you want the bullets to go.
