| Sp101 22lr.
One of the local shops is having their Ruger Days today and tomorrow. The Ruger reps were there. I went to check it out and they had a bunch of the SR1911's. They raised the price since I got mine in Feb by 70.00. I thought about getting a second SR1911 but I wasn't paying 70.00 more. Anyway I went ahead and bought a SP101 in 22LR. NO, I'm not going to post a picture. If you seen one SP101 22 you've seen them all.
I got free Ruger hat, a couple Ruger stickers and a Ruger pin. So I had a pretty good Friday the 13th.

Let us know what you think after you shoot it. I just bought one a few weeks ago. It is a nice little revolver I enjoyed shooting mine. The trigger pull is probably the heaviest I have ever felt but it was still enjoyable. I didn't get a hat through |

Congrats! Can't wait to check it out. I really wish the 3" 357 came with the wood grip inserts.

Unless the piece is customized beyond screw-in grips or sights, they all look the same. I don't care what stupid magazine backdrop or how many shells you put in the picture.

I traded for a used SP101 in 22 LR and I like it a lot. I acually like shooting it better in double action than single action. It has a long but very smooth double action pull (trigger may have been worked on - I don't know). Nice gun. But I don't have a Ruger hat.

We must have allot of people that have a picture addiction. Everyone wants pictures. Unless it's a one of a kind or something very special they are all the same models. Nothing more nothing less.
Jtiv19 we'll give it a whirl Monday. We'll give a range report when I put a few rounds through it.

I'm just wondering why one would want a second SR1911?

One to keep stock and one to customize - different sights, safety and so on? I've considered it.

I’m sure you have your reasons for asking.
There's several people including myself that have more than one of a particular gun. Others may have different models all in 357 mag. Why so many 357’s ? I like the SR1911 so that gives me a reason to get another one if I can find it at a good price.

You need one for each hand!
I have an SP101 in 22, In less than a year I have a 1,000 rounds through it. I really like shooting it! Will work on it to clean up the trigger, its not bad but coul be a bit better. I have the springs and shims just need the time!

I met Jtiv19 at the range this morning. It was like shooting two new guns today. I finally shot the Singe Six I bought in early 2004 and had never fired it before. It shot well. The new SP101 22 LR shot like a champ. Only one problem and I already corrected it. After a hundred rounds or so I noticed the pin holding the rear sight had worked it's way out. I could push it back in with my finger. After cleaning the gun I knocked the pin out.I poured lighter fluid in the hole letting it dry then I put Blue 242 Loctite in the hole. That should take care of it.If not I have the old stand by Red 262 Loctite .It was a pretty good day, would have been better if it wasn't so hot.

| The pin on my rear sight of my 22/45 also worked it's way out. A little blue loctite and it has been good to go.

| I had called Ruger about it when it happened. That was the first fix, the second was to pinch the end of the pin just enough so it wouldn't come out again and not to much so one can't get it back in. I figured I'd go the blue loctite way. They also stated I could send it into them. They stated that it is a common problem. |
