Friday the 13th...Shoot the SR22 Pistol

The SR 22 Pistol hasn't be to the range in a while so I thought I would take it out for recreation before the weather gets too hot. I guess I haven't been out in a while, either, since I couldn't keep the little jewel inside the 9 ring at 20yds two-hand/off-had. I finally settled in and fired 80 more rounds inside the 9 ring. Guess I'll have to take it out more often instead of my Glock 23.

I also took my newly acquired HK MP5 A5 22 for a little more fun and only had time to fire 40rds at the same 20yds off-hand as the SR. Once again, as with the SR Pistol I scattered the first 20 all over 4inches of the bullseye. After a little self talk and looking to see if anybody else saw that mess, I took the second magazine and put 10 each in two smaller 2in areas of the target. Feeling much better and happy and having fun with the HK, time to go take care of business.

Gotta get to the range more.

By the way did you know that on Friday 13th back about 1300 or so (don't remember the exact year). The king of France rounded up the Templars because he owed them money (and couldn't pay) and put them on the rack (most died). So Friday 13th has been considered unlucky ever since. But the lesson here is don't trust the government to do the right thing. I also like my SR22P.

The A5 comes with either a 10 round or 25 round magazine. Mine has a 25 round mag. Realizing that having only one mag would would use up time I could be shooting, I bought three more.

SR-22 is one fine little pistol!

Just picked up an SR-22 pistol and got to the range on Friday; I'm impressed! It came with the Crimson Trace laser and no problem keeping 10 shots inside a 3" circle at 7 yards with bulk ammo. A bit light and small for me (tough to hold steady) but the wife loves it! It might just become her new carry gun!
