NEW SR22 - A sweet new family member!

This is a discussion on NEW SR22 - A sweet new family member! within the Ruger Rimfires forums, part of the Pistol & Revolver Forum category; I really like my SR22. I also had to adjust the sights on mine, but it's pretty darn accurate now that's been done. Enjoy!!!...

Sight adjustment clarification

The instructions on page 29 of the manual state that turning the windage screw clockwise moves the group to the left and that turning the screw counterclockwise moves the group to the right. However, the arrows in the picture (Figure 24) show that turning the screw counter-clockwise moves the group left and that clockwise moves the group right. Am I mis-reading something?

Hmm, you are more diligent than I am. I just took my mini-screw driver set with me and adjusted it until it shot where I wanted it to. I think this is right - but you want to move the rear sight in the direction you want your point of aim to move.

No I believe you are correct. I believe it contradicts it self too. I found myself moving and reading, then moving by the graphic and going back and forth. A little frustrating, but was happy to be out shooting so it didn't really matter to me.
