Ruger Mark III Std 6" Barrel Sight Question

I have a new Ruger Mark III Standard with a 6" barrel (Ruger Catalog Number MIII6; Ruger Model Number 10105). I wish to replace the factory sights with a high viz or white dot option. Factory taps exist along the top of this firearm, but the front sight looks to possess only a small pin that could be removed to enable replacing the front sight.

The Williams Gun Sight Company's Tapered Barrel Site Set (MK-II-MK-III-Tapered-Barrel-Sight-Set-Sturm, Ruger & Co., Inc.) sold by Ruger for the Mark III Tapered Barrel 6-7/8" model would be great, if it fits my pistol.

Will the Williams sight set for the Mark III 6-7/8" tapered barrel fit my 6" tapered barrel model?

I'd posted this question before and come up empty, understandably, as it's a more rare question with the fixed sites 6" Standard model. I ended up contacting Ruger, which proved quite helpful. They sent a well reasoned and informative response. I thought I'd quote it here in case it helps another Ruger Forum.net member down the road:

Ruger Response:
The reason you have fixed sights on your firearm is due to the tapered barrel. If you were to replace the rear sight with an adjustable sight no matter how far down you adjusted the sight you would not be able to get to your point of impact. You would also have to change the height of your front sight. Unfortunately, we do not offer a higher front sight for this model at this time. For this reason we do not recommend changing your fixed sights.
