New/old Single-Six

Just picked up this 1974-1975 vintage Ruger Single-Six with matching 22mag cyclinder, shoots great for a 30+ year old gun, now I just need the box and I would be set.

Is your magnum cylinder fluted or not?

Looks a lot like the one in my safe. Mine was made in 1980 and I bought it new then. They are great shooters and a lot of fun. Enjoy.

You might have trouble getting an original box for it but the older single sixes hold up very well that's why they are still around. Good luck with your pistol. I have 2 newer ones. One is a "50 years of single six" model but I don't know when my other one was made. Is there a place that list when a single six was made by the serial number?

This is New Model SS. Go to Rugers websight for Instruction Manuals and Product History, under the Customer Service button, for all SS serial numbers and owners manuals.

Mine looks like that but has the 9 1/2" barrel and was bought new in 1978. I also have the 50 year anniversary one with 4 1/2" barrel with fixed sights.

Thanks weblance. My 50 year is 2004 (shipped) and the other is 2009 (shipped). Both have fixed sights.
