I ordered 3 boxes and I finally see what you guys have been talking about. I've only shot the red 550 box before that and that stuff gives Fed a bad name. When I opened the boxes they were really shiney too, like brand new brass should be, pleasant surprise compared to the red box, I wish the sold the blue locally.

Every time I see this title it reminds me of the Katy Perry song "I kissed a girl and I liked it"

Just bought one the other day, and I love to shoot it. People call it a knockoff of the Walther, but I think it is really an awesome little gun.

I own the walther as well as the great SR22. Not the same at all. The walther came with a plastic case and cost $50 more......oh, it don't shoot as nice as the SR22 either.

Hi there is no difference between Federal Blue & Red box. Here's the answer I got from Federal on that ?.

From: Anoka Prodserv <Anoka.Prodserv@ATK.COM>

They are the exact same ammunition, load 750 has 550 rounds and originally was sold exclusively at Wal-Mart stores, load 745 has 525 rounds and sold at Sporting Goods stores.

For some reason my SR22 doesn't like the federal. Every second round won't feed. Tried some bulk white Winchester and didn't have any problems. Just got some American Eagle today and will take that out soon to try that. Yes I know that American eagle is made by federal.

Yes American Eagle is made by Federal but it's a little hotter load. i run Federal Red box Walmart all the time with no problems at all. But right now here in Vegas bulk 22's are hard to find anywere or any brand. Went Bass pro today figured I could get it there just pay a little more. Nope no 22 bulk of any kind.

The federal blue box (load 745) has a muzzle energy of 125 ft/lbs. Says right on the package. If you factor in tolerance, some ammo in the box may not have enough "ooomph" to fully cycle the slide and pick up the next round. Happens every so often with me.

Now when i try ammo with around 135-140 ft/lbs, the slide fully cycles and FTF's disappear totally. The winchester M22 box is my favorite.... reliable quality (140) and still cheap.. between 4-5cents per round.

I run Federal bulk thru mine all the time with no problems. I took my wifes to the range one day becaude she was complaing about fail to feed problems. i ran a full 550 rounds of Federal bulk thru it and only prolem i had was 5 Fail to fire. I run run mostly Federal bulk thru Both my SR22's and Two MKIII targets all the time without any problems.

I have serious FTF with Winchester 22LR500HP. They were in a wood box but boxed in 50rd boxes. Every round has to be hand racked into the chamber. The box says 1280 FPS, I have not chrono checked their data, but in any case they are a fail in the SR22P.

Oddly, my MKIII 22/45 Lite eats them up like candy. No problems at all with it. Go figure?

I've only had issues with Winchester bulk, everything else including filthy Remington's shoot perfect.

For those having constant feed issues, check your recoil spring, mine was not seated correctly and that extra travel was causing some failures.
