Anything bad about the SR22?

Have had mind for a week and a half, 0 issues with over 1500 rounds through her. If I'm correct the SR22 came out just after the first of the year.
Reading alot of online reviews, I've only heard of a couple of barrel screws coming loose. Haven't heard of anyone having to send their's back to Ruger. If this is right I would say that Ruger Hit a home run on the first pitch, with the SR22.
This is my forth Ruger and all have been perfect right out of the box.

P95, LC9, 10/22 and SR22

I own several Rugers & have had no problems with any of them. I am currently waiting on delivery of my SR22 & since Ruger is involved I do not anticipate any problems whatsoever. Ruger has reached the point where the consumer expects perfection from them & to Ruger's credit they have come about as close to perfection as possible. Looking forward to many fun hours shooting my SR22 when it gets here.

My wife and I own 3 Rugers (two are SR22s) and each of them has been absolutely perfect.

The SR22s have had issues with low powered rounds (cheap bulk pack), I blame the ammo not the gun on those few issues. Mainly a few low powered factory rounds would have enough power to eject the fired round but not enough to push the slide back far enough to strip a new round off the magazine. But those few instances were the only issues that our SR22s had. They were 100% other than that.

DPris is an unknown quantity at this point
The one here would not reliably feed loads at the other end of the power spectrum.
Kept closing the slide on an empty chamber with Win Super X hyper-vel & their 550 bulk hi-vel loads.
The other three I used functioned perfectly.

I also had issue with Winchester bulk. Seems that many in each box are under powered, that they will eject the spent round but not enough power to push the slide back far enough to strip the next round from the mag. Even my 10/22 has issues with Winchester bulk.
I've had no issue with Federal, Remington or CCI. I personally like the Federal Champion the best, to me the cleanest of the bulk. Federal value pack is good also. The Remington is fine, just seems dirtier to me. CCI is always good but costs more then the rest.

Only issues I have heard of are the loose barrel issue that can be resolved with some loctite. Also, people are a bit miffed that it doesn't come with a stock threaded barrel. But there will be threaded replacement barrels. Either way, doesn't affect me since I live in Illinois. Other that these two issues, it just seems to be a few underloaded .22 rounds causing a few issues.

Zero issues also with mine approx.200 rounds,i find similarities between P-22 and SR-22 with the SR-22 being more trigger friendly and a bit more accurate. Except barrel screw issue ,I fixed myself.

Only bad thing about the SR22 is that it runs out of ammo wayyy too fast!!!

Only issue I have noticed it a slight amount of trigger slap when firing DA. The back of the trigger on mine hits the back of the trigger guard when the trigger breaks in DA. It does not hurt like my AK with trigger slap but it is noticeable. In SA mode it is not as much a problem as you are not using much force. By design it looks like the trigger will make contact with the trigger guard at the end of each pull. Since most shooting will be in SA it is not much of an issue. It would be a problem if this were a double action only gun.

I'm actually sending mine back to Ruger this week. The left side of the slide is showing bare metal and it looks to be catching/rubbing on the frame. I sent them pictures, but they need to inspect it up close to diagnose the issue.

Other than that, it has been a fantastic gun and definitely gives me full use of my range time after I run out of 9mm ammo shooting my other gun.
