| NEW SR22 Pistol
Ruger sent me their new SR22 Pistol for T&E review. It’s a DA/SA blowback operated autoloader chambered in the .22 Long Rifle cartridge.
The pistol is a fixed barrel design and features an anodized aluminum slide and polymer frame.
At the range CCI and Federal ammunition was accumulated for the test.
50% sized B-27 Silhouette
Head group is 10 rounds of Federal at 3 yards, offhand.
All torso groups are 10 rounds at 7 yards, offhand.
Thorax: CCI Mini-Mag; X : CCI Stinger
5 round group of Fed. fired supported at 15 yards.
Everything worked and functions properly, like a quality auto-pistol should.

Nice to see Ruger doing so much for 22's lately, I'm more interested in one of the new revolvers but this is cool too!

Dang it! Yet another one to try and find. Any idea when they will start to hit the shelves? Hopefully it will not be a trickle like the SR1911.

Ruger should offer a $75 discount on those to get the slide refinished for the billboard fail.

Ambi mag release and ambi safety? Safety looks a little overkill.

looks a bit like the P22, how big is it? I wish it was more like the SR9c or another FS pistol.
I can't believe they actually did the LCR22. Where does it fit? Not SD.

Only one table (out of 700) had them and she said after selling 5 of them on Saturday, she had to bring more today.

Does the SR22 (why does that make me think of auto insurance?) look as much like my wife's Walther 22 pistol as I think it does? The new rifle looks A LOT like a T/C Venture. Is Ruger in business with Smith behind the scenes?

I might catch some crap for this, but I don't like the looks of this thing at all. It looks really cheap IMO. It doesn't even intrest me enough to ask the guy behind the counter to let me look at it. The SP101 .22, now that thing looks good.

i pray its a better gun (in oh so many ways) than the Mosquito and the Walther P22.
IME the Sig and Walther are proving to be a mediocre .22 pistol at best...
anyone in the market for a .22 trailgun, the 22/45 is better, more proven design. mine has outshot higher priced, similar concept rimfire pistols.

I still want to try it out. I happen to like it's look, and am looking for a good .22 target pistol .. I like the Berreta NEOS, and have fired it. Guy next to me @ the range let me try his. I love the way it fires and it's accuracy, with a easy trigger. BUT, since Rugar came out with this, I have to try it out to make my decision. Thanks for the update.

I handled one at my LGS today. They aren't bad. Feel reminds me of the P22. Sure hope they work better. Price in Ohio was $349.
