I just picked up the latest addition to the BSTANG family. The local gun shop had a sale on Mark III Targets for $299. Couldn't pass it up. I'm thinking about using it as a project gun. I figure for the price, I can add some goodies.
That is a great price for a really good gun. The Mark series has lots of customization options and make really nice projects. You are in for a lot of fun.
Man, I never get a deal like that.
All my local shop ever gets in, is the distributor specials.
I would have loved to have a blued MKIII for 299. My gun wasn't much different, and I ended up paying 465. The two extras I got were the gun being matte blued, and silver aluminum hogue grips.
I see you jumped on the killer deal at Hoffmans! If I didn't just get my 22/45 less than a month ago, and of course if I didn't love the 45 grip angle... I would have been all over this right now!
Great pistol at a great price. I put a VQ accurizing kit and Sam Lam hammer bushing in mine then mounted a MatchDot. The targets at 25yds look like I know what I'm doing.
bass pro carries the optic sight but will they fit the 22/45??? It says they will fit the mark II and III, just wanted to know before my son spends 34.95 on it.
As long as the optic you're buying is for a weaver style rail, it will fit on the rail Ruger provides with the 22/45.
Post a link to the optic if you don't mind... Should give someone on here a better idea of whether or not it will fit.
They're nice and bright although with the green dot on my rail I don't use the factory sights much... I did pull the scope off last weekend and shot some without it.
Just purchased a 22/45 Mark III Target for 269.00 from a gun shop here -- last one and he did not know when his shipment would come in. Actually left to think about it, as this is my very first gun I own, but turned around and bought it. Great decision.
Great deal on a great gun, you can never have too many MK's
Congrats!
