Mark II disassembly photo....

Fellers let me explain what I'm looking for. My older brother (56) is looking for a step by step tutorial for dismanteling and reassembly of the Mark II. The catch is it has to be a photo format that I can download & print fullscale on 8x12 paper. Preferably one photo of each step on a single sheet with an explaination of the work. He doesn't even own a computor and I've shown him how to strip one down but due to short term memory loss (motorcycle accident) he doesn't remember the steps for very long. DVD's won't do him any good..he'd wear out the player using the pause/rewind button. If I can't locate this I promised I'd make up one myself for him but it might take a while so I thought I'd ask here first. If anyone has a link or a suggestion I'd sure be grateful. I'll check back tommorrow or over the weekend. Many thanks in advance. Audie...the Oldfart.

Not sure if you have the manual or not, but I'd start here in page 19

+1
Follow the step by step instructions. There are a few sightly tricky parts (for me getting the pin back in at the end is ALWAYS a bit of trouble), but it is only a 3 or 4 step procedure. IMO the instructions make it harder than it sounds.
Have you tried looking on youtube? I'm sure there are step-by-step tutorials on there....
Unless ur talking about more than field stripping which Ruger recommends be done at the factory.

PS: Whoops didn't see this was for someone with special needs. Sorry if I sounded like "this should be obvious" bc I didn't realize the full circumstances. If noone comes up with something in the next few hours I will take some pics myself for you.

Okay I found this for you which would probably be perfect for this application. The kicker is they are charging 4 bucks for a step by step instruction guide with pics. I would be happy to post pictures of the dissassembly process for your brother, but the PDF I am linking to would be I'm sure a bit more helpful. Good luck!! Oh and here's the link:

You can build up a strip/assembly for standard cleaning with the photos from:
http://www.1bad69.com/ruger/field_strip.htm

If you want to tear the whole thing down go to:
http://www.1bad69.com/ruger/internals.htm

Great pics, I have it bookmarked and use them when I (regularly) forget which way the sear spring goes.

Gun Talk Online has been the magic wand for me.
It clarified every piece of murky, muddy, out-of-focus, information from all the other sites.

many thanks!!

You guys are just incredible! Tonight I got some time and nearly wore out the printer. I'm working on enlarging some of the photos to clarify some points and this will make an excellent "book" for big brother. I'll put this all together and mail it out to him on Monday. Probably have to bulk-ship it as it's gonna be HUGE! Big photos, large print and some notations in crayon from me. Again, can't say thanks enough. Audie...the Oldfart.
