Question Mark I, Mark II & Mark III parts interchangeability

I have a Ruger MKI Target pistol. It has a broken Main Spring Housing. I am having a very difficult time finding a replacement.
Does anyone know where I can purchase one? Does anyone know what if any of the parts are interchangeable within the Mark I, Mark II & Mark III family?
My last resort is the machine shop.
Thanks in advance,
Floyd

Believe either a MkI or MkII will work, and maybe the MkIII.

The MkIII housing has an extra bushing in it for the lock. Ruger has the MkIII housings on their web site here.

Does your part look like the picture?

BTW, I'm not a gunsmith; I just play one on the internet.

Smile Thanks for the reply and help

edlmann,
Thanks for the reply and help. The photo does look like my MKI Main Spring Housing except for the extra bushing like you mentioned. It appears that it should work if they are dimensionally the same. I think I will give Customer Service Department in Prescott, AZ a call just to confirm before ordering.
Thanks again for playing gunsmith from Deep In The Heart of Texas

Good news for those with this issue. I called Ruger in Arizona and spoke to a very nice parts lady. She said that the MKIII Main Spring Housing Assembly definitely works in the MKI. I ordered it, and installed it without a problem.
Thanks again Ed Mann for pointing me in the right direction.
PS My three sons took me to a local gun show this past weekend ... and yes I am now the proud owner of a Ruger MKIII 22/45

That's good to know. I own a perfectly functioning Mark I. I wonder if Ruger will still repair a Mark I if need be?

By the way, I have found that a Mark III magazine does not feed well in my Mark I. Repeated failures to feed.
