Mk-I Recoil Spring Replacement

Just bought Wolf springs for my Mk-I Bull Barrel.

Looks like the guide rod end is peened. Anyone changed their recoil spring before? Did you thread it onto the guide rod, or....?

All I can tell you is that I'm still looking for the end piece of the one I disassembled.

BTDT (different part, different gun)! My experience is its usually in the one place you don't think it could possibly be. And, for sure its it the last place you'll look.

I ordered that spring too in an increased strength, thinking I might be able to reliably shoot stingers with it. When I got it, I said "it aint broke, so don't fix it". Replacing just the spring spring would require rounding off the flattened edges of the rod to remove the old spring and re-flattening them to install the new one. Way too much chance to Bubba it up for me. I'll just not shoot stingers.
