Anybody change *just* their Mk trigger?

Lots of threads recently on the VQ kit (or select parts) to get a 2-ish pound, crisp "competition" trigger.

Has anybody swapped out just the stock trigger? For, say, the TK flat-face Victory? I'm thinking that would give you a reduced take up and shorter overall travel without really changing the pull weight, yes? So it would be closer to something like a PPQ?

I tried swapping in just the VQ trigger. It behaves like you describe. However, the flat faced triggers may change your perceived pull weight a bit. This is because you can comfortably pull higher or lower on the trigger. Pulling lower gives more leverage with more travel, while pulling higher has the opposite effect.
