First time out with new Mk IV

I bought a Mk IV Target this past Thursday ( decided I wanted one after shooting a MK III 22-45 Lite) and got out to shoot it for the first time today. It ran flawlessly with Federal HV and Geco but had two failures to feed the next round with some Aguila Super Extra. Can't wait to get out and shoot with it again.

Excellent! I like your new pistol. Looks great. I finally took mine out yesterday for a super short session. 4 mags worth. All good except one mag seems to be defective. I will email Ruger and see what they can do. Keep enjoying it!

Nice report and glad to hear the MKIV likes Geco and Fed. I recommend to my customers Ely 22LR for fussy 22 pistols from experience. Give a try with their target ammo for another option.

Thanks! Sorry to hear you had problems but I have heard nothing but good stories about how great Ruger customer service is so I bet they get you fixed up. They put a new trigger group in an acquaintances SR1911 for free because the original rattled.

Looks like I can get some Eley from a couple of places not far from me. I will pick up a couple of boxes to try it out. Thanks for the advice.

Yes it is the new model and yes it easy to strip and clean. I was showing it off to the RSO today, she has a Mk II Slabside. She was really impressed how quickly ( less than 10 seconds) it can be field stripped and told me how much of a pain hers is to strip.
