New LCRx in 22lr Today

I picked up my new Ruger LCRx in 22 LR today. I went to a LGS yesterday, Thursday, to look at one. They had never seen one and did not know that it was being made. I took a chance and had them order me one. It was to be in on Monday. I got a call this morning and it was in, Friday.
I got home with it and put about 150 rounds through it. I am not impressed with the accuracy so far. I tried 4 different brands and had mixed results. I will try some different ammo and post a range report later. For now I will say that it did not like CCI MiniMags. It did like Remi Golden Bulk and Browning.
The trigger is quite good in DA and SA. The look is not one that inspires "Gun Love" like my polished SP101 in 357 mag. The grip looks large for the pistol and feels bulky on the light revolver. I will replace it with the grip on my LCR 38 and see how it looks and feels. If I like it I will order one and replace it. The spent shell ejector felt very gritty and the cylinder was hard to press. I Lubed them with quality oil, Rem-Oil and Tri-flo.The sights were very close and were centered but shot high. This would make them great for a target gun but this is not a range gun. It is a daily carrier on the farm. The first round will most likely be a CCI shotshell to take care of any rattlers that show up.
To sum it up:
The gun is very light.
The front sight is white and easy to acquire.
The 3" barrel gives it a good sight-radius and velocity.
I was able to put all 8 rounds on an 8" steel plate at 50 feet with a two-hand hold.
22 LR ammo is now available and priced reasonable.
I can't wait to put a few hundred more rounds through it.

LCR's have to grow on you. Compared to my SP101 it loses in the aesthetics department. But it's a nice looking gun in it's own right. Mine was shooting high too...It was me anticipating recoil. Your mileage may vary.

Congrats.

Wife has the LCR 22 mag and loves it.

If they make an LCRX in 22 mag,, I will probably buy one.
