22/45 grip panel vs 1911 grip panel

For those who have both a 22/45 and a 1911 pistol - how do the 22/45 grip panels match up to the 1911 grip panels? Are the screw holes in the same position and spacing? Is the mag ejector button cutout the same for the 22/45 and the 1911?

Yes and no. The 1911 grips will work on the 22/45, the 22/45 grips will not work on a 1911, they interfere with the controls on the left side. This was for a mark III 22/45.

Thanks. I have small hands and I have slim grips on my 1911 and it fits my hands very good. I was hoping that I could use a slim set of 1911 grips on a MK IV (after any needed mods) for a better fit. I think a set of G10 1911 slim grips can be modified to fit the MK IV. I plan on getting a MK IV Tactical so I was wondering if this could be done.

I also have small hands, and did what you are thinking about.
It works great and the Ruger and makes it easier and more fun to shoot.
Go for it.
