Stainless Ruger Mark IV Threaded Barrel

Ok got it back from Grumpy's Guns in Arlington, TX.....what a job.....he threaded the barrel and fitted the front sight by moving it and shaving it down!!

That looks great! I actually just registered to this forum to inquire about that job. What model is that? I'm assuming the competition but wasn't sure. I am really thinking about picking up the Mark IV Competition? But no threaded barrel is a bit of a deal killer for me.

It's the Hunter model (flutes are are the giveaway). Ruger may bring out a threaded model. Or you can have a Mark threaded like the OP.

I found the cost on his website. $85 is a good price for what appears yo be very good work.

Thanks, I've gone a long time without delving into forums and decided to make some accounts places I have guns and such.

I may have to wait for that threaded barrel though since this isn't a gun I need, but I would like a nice .22 target pistol.
