Mark IV potential issue

I've noticed that if my Mark IV is just barely out of battery and I pull the trigger then push the bolt home, the sear can trip without my finger on the trigger. This can also happen if I accidentally ride the safety. I can partially engage the safety, pull the trigger, disengage the safety and the sear will trip. Both problems can be remedied by clearing the gun.

Are these known quirks? Or, should I bring the gun to a gunsmith?

I'd give Ruger a call first chance you get! Hopefully, it's an isolated case, but if all MKIV's can do this they for sure need to know about it,

Welcome to the forum.

Agree with dingode - can't hurt to call Ruger and get their spin on things. Worst case scenario, you send it back to Ruger and they fix any problem or replace the pistol.
Top flight CS from Ruger.
